For those unfamiliar with a bothy, it’s simply a shelter in the wild; somewhere warm, peaceful, and open to all. That spirit of refuge, rest, and community is exactly what we’re building here.
For us, it’s more than a sauna. It’s about sharing a moment of calm, laughter, and connection, in a space that feels both wild and welcoming. We want to use this space in as many ways as we can and collaborating with as many people as we can.
We’re creating a versatile space where people can connect, unwind, and host wellness events & meetings. From yoga and meditation to workshops and gatherings, all centred around warmth, community, and looking after ourselves and each other.
Hot & Bothy was born from our shared love of nature, connection, and the power of a good sweat. Over the years, we’ve found healing and clarity in cold water, deep heat, and honest conversations out in the open.

Accessibility for All
Sauna should be for everyone. We’re committed to keeping our prices fair and accessible, offering concessions for students, the elderly, and the unwaged - because no one should be priced out of the benefits of heat, rest, and community.

We prioritise shared sessions and local collaboration, creating a space that brings people together. From community nights to wellness events, we aim to make sauna a social experience rooted in connection and care.

We’re committed to creating an environment where people from marginalised communities feel genuinely included and safe to just be.

We’re proud to be a body-neutral space. We invite bathers to focus on how their bodies feel and what they can do — not how they look. Our sauna is a non-sexual, respectful environment where all bodies are valued equally.
