  • Yes and many do! The closest train stations are Drem (3 miles away) and North Berwick. From there, you can take local buses for a few minutes, such as the 124, which stop near the estate entrance. From the bus stop, it’s about a 8-minute walk to the garden.

    You can also take the 124 straight from Edinburgh City Centre.

  • Yes we do, all under cover. We have communal and private options.

  • Our hours are currently variable as we are still finding out what our community wants - to keep updated with these please check our social media channels and booking platform. For private bookings we have no set hours, just pop us an email to enquire.

  • Up to 16 people can be in the saunas at one time.

  • Our sessions are 1hr 30 mins - We wanted to keep them long so you’ve got plenty time to relax and enjoy the space without being rushed out the door. That being said, stay tuned for varying session times to come - we’ll see what everyones keen for.

  • We have done our best to make our Yurt sauna accessible with a ramp and double doors. This is wheelchair accessible - however please contact us if you have specific accessibility needs. Access to the site has no steps but is across a grass field. Our changing facilities are not currently ramped but we’re working on this.

  • Yes - there is parking available at Archerfield Walled Garden, just a short walk from the sauna, with disabled parking closest to the site.

  • We have a few in case you’ve forgotten yours - stay tuned for merch!

  • Absolutely! Hosting events and workshops has always been a priority for us. We’re working with local wellness practitioners to offer sessions that include sauna rituals, mindful practices, and other wellness experiences. We’re also listening to our community to learn what people want, so every event is designed to be engaging, inclusive, and restorative.

  • Yes! Private sessions are perfect for groups, birthdays, team days, or special occasions. Contact us to plan your bespoke sauna experience. We like to keep these outside our community hours.

  • Archerfield Walled Garden has toilets with disabled facilities, that are open 10am-5pm daily. We are working on something outside these hours.

  • Most people enjoy 10–15 minutes per round, followed by a cool-down. Listen to your body — there’s no rush. You can repeat cycles as you like.

    Our sessions are 90 mins so plenty time to take breaks, cool down and relax outdoors.

  • Yes this is a must - a quick shower before entering the sauna or cold plunge keeps it hygienic and helps your body adjust to the heat or cold.

  • The list is endless! Regular sauna use supports relaxation, circulation, cardiovascular health, and stress reduction. Many also find it boosts recovery and mental clarity. Check out our socials for more info!

  • If you have any health concerns (heart conditions, pregnancy, etc.), please check with your doctor first. Your safety is our priority.

  • The Bothy sauna usually sits between 90 - 100°C, whilst we keep the yurt at around 80°C to accommodate different heat tolerances.

  • Step out, take a cool drink, or use the cold plunge if you like. Your comfort comes first — sauna is meant to be enjoyable, not extreme.

  • Absolutely. It’s there for those who enjoy it, but first-timers can simply skip it and enjoy the sauna cycles.

  • All temperatures - yes! We keep an eye on Met weather warnings and will in some cases choose to close if winds are too high, in which case a full refund or rebooking will be offered.

  • You can cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows - drop us a message and we’ll see what we can do.

  • We recommend booking online to secure your spot. Walk-in sessions will be advertised in advance but availability isn’t guaranteed.

  • Archerfield Walled Garden offers camper-van parking bays - please refer to their website for more info.

  • Yes - the café next door offers snacks, drinks, and light meals to enjoy before or after your session.

  • Well behaved doggies only please!
